When participating in international competitions, the gloves used by athletes must be inspected and approved by representatives of the International Boxing Federation before they can be used. Gloves used in boxing matches in our country must be approved by the Chinese Boxing Association, and the gloves of both athletes in a match must be products of the same manufacturer and model. According to regulations, the striking face of the glove should be clearly marked in white, so that when the athlete hits, the referee and judge on stage can distinguish whether the athlete is hitting the opponent with the fist tip. The glove should not have any damage, and the strap should be tied to the back of the glove. The extended strap should be inserted into the sleeve, and the knot exposed on the back of the glove should be glued with adhesive tape. The length of the adhesive tape should not exceed 7.5 centimeters and the width should not exceed 2.5 centimeters. During the competition, there should be two glove management personnel to specifically inspect the gloves. If there is suspicion of a problem with the gloves, the management personnel have the responsibility and obligation to check whether the athlete's gloves and bandages meet the requirements of the rules.
