Can children use boxing trainers?

Jun 23, 2025|

Under parental care and scientific guidance, children can use boxing trainers.

It is recommended to use an inflatable sandbag with a reaction force of no more than 5kg to prevent injury to the child's developing bones. Children should train for less than 15 minutes per session and no more than 3 times per week. The training programme should also be targeted, do not over 'pulling seedlings to grow'. 7 years old before the game can be used with children, 7 - 10 years old soft rubber reaction target and speed ball training, improve reaction speed and sense of rhythm; 11 years old and above is more suitable for systematic training.

Inflatable boxing balls are the first choice for younger children, with their weak bounce and water-fillable base design, which is both safe and helps children develop basic hand-eye co-ordination; soft rubber reaction targets with a scoring function, or suspended sponge speed balls, equipped with a large-diameter ball and low elasticity coefficient of the spring, which helps to develop a sense of rhythm. Parents need to follow strict safety principles during children's training. Equipment installation, vertical sandbag base water to reach 120% of the label, hanging equipment needs to be pulled by an adult to test the firmness of the full force; guide the child to master the correct action, with the peak of the fist gently touched rather than palms beat, hit with the exhalation of sound; mandatory wearing gel wraps, children's boxing gloves, and other protective gear; and at the same time to transform the training environment, remove the surrounding hard, paved with buffer cushions.

The core of children's boxing training is 'control' rather than 'power'. Proper and safe use of multifunctional boxing gym equipment, boxing reflex ball headband, boxing reflex trainer, etc. will help your child's progress and growth.
